Biff is book 1 of the short <i> books. As we can see, Biff, the chef, is a caterpillar. His partner Tam is a ladybug. Like all the families in these books, you will find diversity. In this book, Tam overestimated the size of the ham. They had to turn to the neighbor boy Kip for some help!
It contains 23 pages of short a and short <i> CVC words with a sprinkling of double final consonants, as in Biff. Since double consonants are easily decoded, and we are not asking them to spell, I feel students can manage these words.
