Dot and the cat, Ross, don't get along too well. When things go wrong, whose side will her mother, Val, be on? 

This book contains 25 pages of short <o>, <i>, <a> CVC words,  with a sprinkling of double final consonants as in toss. Since double consonants are easily decoded, and we are not asking them to spell, I feel students can manage these words.  My books also contain a few irregular words.
