Bug Books, controlled decodable books
These brightly illustrated, contemporary, controlled, decodable books engage even the youngest reader. They are for use with direct, explicit instruction, designed with Orton Gillingham practitioners in mind, but perfect for classroom or home reading. These books contain approximately 25 pages, with large text on one page and a corresponding, colored illustration on the other. They consist of short CVC vowel words with no blends or digraphs. Irregular words, such as the, are listed at the back of the book. My order of vowel introduction is short a, i, o, u, e. I have free teacher guides with more information on each book.
